My Notifications

When you work on a team or receive assigned appointments yourself, you sometimes want to be notified by email – and sometimes you don’t. Under My Notifications, you choose which appointment events TheraTap should notify you personally about by email.


Four appointment events

Assignment, online booking, change, and cancellation – each type can be toggled on or off individually.

Personal setting

Everyone on the team decides for themselves. Colleagues cannot see or change your preferences.

Straight to the appointment

Every email includes the key appointment details and a link to the calendar.

For all roles

Staff with the “Editor” role also find the setting in their account.


  1. Open Settings

    Click Settings in TheraTap.

  2. Go to the “Account” section

    Under Account, you’ll find Notifications.

  3. Toggle and save

    Enable or disable the notifications you want and click Save.

All emails come from TheraTap in the system layout (not on practice letterhead) and include a compact appointment overview with date, time, treatment type, and links to the patient and contact where available. Open appointment in calendar takes you directly to the relevant appointment.


If you create, edit, or delete an appointment assigned to yourself, you won’t receive an email for it. You’re only notified when someone else on the team performs the action.

  • Newly invited team members and newly registered users have all four notifications enabled by default.
  • Existing users at the time of rollout start with all toggles disabled – so nothing changes until you actively turn something on.

These settings control emails only. For team-internal short messages with a badge in the menu, see internal notices separately.


Can I, as the practice owner, change my staff’s settings? No. Everyone manages their own notifications under Settings → Account → Notifications.

Do I also get emails about appointments assigned to others? No. You’re only notified about appointments assigned to you.

What’s the difference from the templates under “Communication & Templates”? There you configure which emails and SMS go to animal owners. Under My Notifications, you control which emails you receive as a team member.
