Cash, receipts and cash closing – now right inside TheraTap

Starting today, TheraTap has a cash book with payment journal – one of the most practical additions for everyone who also takes cash in their practice.

What’s new?

Until now you could see whether an invoice was paid. Now you can record every payment properly – cash, card, SumUp, PayPal or bank transfer – and keep a running cash balance for your cash.

  • One journal for all payment methods – paid invoices and partial payments are booked automatically.
  • Real-time cash balance – only cash moves the till; card & co. appear as journal entries.
  • Expenses, withdrawals & deposits – cash expenses with tax rate, owner withdrawals and transfers between till and bank.
  • Receipts & attachments – attach a photo or PDF to any entry, print receipts or send them by email.
  • Cash closing – count your cash as a total or by notes and coins, reconcile the difference, get the receipt as a PDF. Forgotten differences can be reconciled later with a reason.
  • Export for your tax advisor – cash book as PDF or CSV, daily revenue, DATEV booking batch and an Excel report with VAT.

Why it helps

Especially in mobile and small practices, a lot is paid in cash. With the cash book you always know how much is in the till, what money was spent on and whether expected and counted amounts match. And because paid invoices are booked automatically, you no longer record anything twice.

Entries are never deleted: you reverse an incorrect entry with a reason, and TheraTap creates a counter-entry. That keeps the journal fully traceable.

The cash book is an open cash drawer without TSE. Whether your business needs a TSE is best clarified with your tax advisor.

How to get it

We activate the cash book for your practice on request. Write to us at info@theratap.de – afterwards you’ll find Cash book under Finance in the sidebar. A detailed guide is in the cash book documentation.
