Underwater treadmill, laser, shockwave and more – capture settings as structured data, not free text

When you document device therapy, it often matters not only that you used the underwater treadmill – but how: speed, incline, water level, duration. Until now those values often ended up in free text. At the next appointment you scroll back, hunt for numbers and hope nothing is missing.
You can now record device applications as structured data – with the parameters that belong to each device. That gives you both: a quick recall of the last settings, and a chart you can actually evaluate in the animal record.
At a glance
- Structured metrics instead of free text – the right fields per device
- Recall: reuse the last settings with one click and increase them on purpose
- Trend charts in the animal record across the whole treatment series
- Into the findings report – decided per entry, off by default
- PDF export of the device history for clients, referring vets or your own file
- Preconfigured for common therapy devices – you choose, you don’t define schemas
Which devices are included?
TheraTap ships a catalogue that matches what actually stands in animal physio, osteopathy and related practices:
- Underwater treadmill (speed, incline, water level, temperature, intervals)
- Treadmill
- Laser therapy (dose, power, wavelength, mode)
- Electrotherapy
- Ultrasound
- Magnetic field / PEMF
- Shockwave therapy
- Cold plasma therapy
- Repuls therapy
- TECAR
- Vibration plate
- Heat, cold and red light
Duration, treated region and notes can be added for every device.
One underwater treadmill shows km/h, the next m/min, a third only levels. So you set once per device what your device displays – after that the unit is fixed and values stay comparable over weeks. For unambiguous quantities such as °C or cm there is nothing to set.
In the findings form: one click instead of three
The findings form has a Devices tab. Your practice devices sit there as a quick picker. One click adds the application and opens the parameter fields.
If this animal has used the device before, the fields are prefilled with the last values – including when that was. A repeat session is then one click if nothing changes. If you want to progress, you only adjust the one value.
Several devices in one session? Fine. The same device twice with different settings? Also fine.
In the animal record: see the trend, don’t guess
Under Devices in the animal record you switch between device types (e.g. “UWL · 12”) and see:
- the trend as a chart – primary metrics such as speed or dose are on by default, others you add from the legend
- a table of all applications with the delta to the previous value
- a jump back into the matching findings form
After eight weeks it is obvious what happened: load increased from 2.0 to 4.5 km/h – without Excel and without a stack of notes.
Into the findings report – or deliberately not
Not every device application belongs in the report that reaches the customer. So you decide per entry whether it appears on the findings report: a switch on the application itself, off by default.
In a session with an underwater treadmill and a laser, one can be in the report and the other not. With the switch on, device, duration, region and all recorded values appear neatly formatted in the PDF – in your practice’s language.
Without a findings form, too
A short treadmill session in between, without its own findings form? You can record device applications directly in the animal record – with date and time. They appear in the same history and the same evaluation as all the others.
History as PDF
You export the device history as a PDF from the animal record – chart and table included. Useful for referring veterinarians, clients or your own documentation.
How to get started
Map your existing devices to a device type once (underwater treadmill, laser, …). After that the Devices tab appears in the findings form and value capture is ready.
More in the device documentation guide.
Device documentation is available for everyone now – just open the next findings form.
